Tekashi 69 Breaks Silence on His Kidnapping and Robbery: ‘It Was an Inside Job’

Tekashi 69 thinks someone close to him set him up for kidnap and robbery.

Recall that yesterday, TMZ reported that the rapper, who has just dropped his new song “FEFE” with Nicki Minaj, was working on a music video in Brooklyn on Sunday morning and at around 4AM, he wrapped for the night and drove home, but was pulled up on by another car. He reportedly got kidnapped, pistol-whipped and robbed by the men. Eventually, he escaped from their custody and was helped by a stranger who called the ambulance to take him to the hospital.

Speaking about his experience with DJ Akademiks during his live stream on Twitch, the rapper explained that he had suffered “concussion trauma to the head” after getting knocked unconscious twice. “I’m fine,” he told fans at the beginning of the stream.

“It was an inside job,” said the FEFE rapper. “It wasn’t no outside n***as. It’s n***as that know how the king of New York moves, you know what I’m saying? The only person that can get a Pharaoh in Egypt is the person who helped build the fuckin’ kingdom, you know what I’m saying? The n***a that’s right next to him. The n***a that know who built that shit, that got the blueprints.”

And he said a lot more. Watch the video below.

Tekashi later took to his Instagram to share the photo of late rapper XXXTentacion with a caption that says: “As crazy as it sounds.. yesterday morning I had a feeling that it was my day to die. May GOD strike me dead if I’m lying. Everything happens for a reason. I know you was there. Nothing materialistic is more important then LIFE. I live to see another DAY. I get to see my daughter another day. No Hate Charge it to the streets.”
